Base Camp

I went skiing with the dog for a couple of hours yesterday and by some strange coincidence… I suddenly came to Base Camp, where the film crew eat and get make up and stuff like that. By similar coincidence I happened to have my camera with me :P so I managed to get a half decent photo of it. When I came to the road I felt like going by the house where they’ve been filming (apparently the road was still closed for the public, but as I didn’t know that I went there anyway ;) ) and guess who stood there by the road. Yes, it was Mr C himself! It was very clear though that he didn’t want to be recognized (he looked down and walked away) and as it is a human right to be respected, I didn’t want to bother him but walked right on instead. This still means, though, that I’ve been as close as just maybe 4 metres from a Hollywood star. I hope it won’t get to my head ;)

Clooney filming The American

Yes, maybe I got a little too hooked by this paparazzi thing :P but today I was out again for some Clooney-spotting. I went to almost the same ”lookout” as yesterday but didn’t bring the dog this time, took two cameras instead… There were plenty more of footprints along the waterside this time, I guess there are more than me that are curious about what is going on.
I must say that they have quite a large crew for a film like this, there were probably about 40-50 people on the ice during the filming of this particular scene plus some media folks trying to get a hint of George… That for a scene with two guys and no action ;)

As I mentioned earlier I brought two cameras. I hope the pictures from the SLR got a little sharper, but we’ll have to be patient and wait until I sometime get the film developed to see that. I know I could have moved very much closer, but as this is in the earliest beginning of my career as a paparazzi I probably (luckily) have too much of a conscience to annoy the film team =)

The American

Many have noticed that Hollywood celebrity George Clooney is in Sweden this week to shoot some scenes for a movie called ”The American”. Apparently he will play the assassin Jack that, after a ”job” in Sweden that don’t end to well, decides to make one last ”job” before he retires.
Most of these Swedish scenes are shoot on location here in Singsjön, not even one kilometre from my home =).

Since I haven’t published anything exciting here on this website for a very long time, I therefore present for you this paparazzi photo of some of the film crew. I apologize for the non-sharp faces, but this picture is taken from a distance of 2-300 metres with full zoom and it doesn’t get any better :P Don’t try to find Gorgeous George’s face in it, he still hadn’t arrived when it was taken..
