Good teeth =)

by hanseman on Apr.02, 2009, under Okategoriserade

Today I went to the dentist, it’s been 18 months since my last visit so apparently they thought that it was time to squeeze me for money again. Yesterday they called me on my phone and I, naive as ususal, said Yes, why not? Okey, we have a time at, erh, 11 o’clock if that is OK for you?

So, there I was, sitting in the waiting room, reading some BAMSE comics, when Arash came. We shook hands and before I knew I was sitting in one of those chairs that dentists like to use. Apparently I have quite good teeth because Arash had to get the nurse come looking, ”best teeth of the day” he said and advised me to drink more water so that I will feel better, think smarter and perhaps save the world in a (hopefully not so) distant future. Okey, those weren’t his exact words but every story needs some kind of spices ;).

By following his advice, I have so far obtained the abilities to fly several seconds in a row, taking panorama x-rays of peoples teeth with my bare eyes and keep my teeth clean with a tooth brush whitout even brushing :O Isn’t it amazing?

Well, even though I have pretty good teeth (I blame sugar, milk and a certain Phantom for that) it seems like a pair of my wisdom teeth have come out in a quite not so good direction. It is nothing that bothers me and probably never will but it made me go from a zero risk to a technical two risk!! Kinda cool to be a risky person though…:P

Until we meet again

A lot of things

by hanseman on Apr.02, 2009, under Okategoriserade

It’s been three weeks since the last time I wrote something uninteresting here, sorry.
But since there has been a lot going on during the past month I sure have a lot of things to waste your valuable time, if you know that you haven’t got time to read this useless nonsense I suggest that you stop immediately and check your facebook or twitter account instead :P

Between the thirteenth and fifteenth of March I went to Bosön, Stockholm, to attend KRIK Leadership. Because of responsibility about the environment (and that there weren’t any tickets for suitable flights left) I happily boarded the train at eight o’clock the twelfth of March for an entertaining fourteen hours trip. Since I arrived in Stockholm at ten am I had about two and a half hours before Lina and Mareike arrived (they did actually go by airplane, dooh, not thinking about mother earth at all…;) I’ve got my conscience clean AND I saved almost a dollar by taking the train..:P )

During those hours I sauntered around central Stockholm, seeing the royal castle, a lot of churches, some ducks, Fredrik Kempe and swans, a Maserati and Hötorget (the Hay square in English)

When finally Lina and Mareike arrived we decided to go to Kungshallen to buy us some lunch. Since Kungshallen is located next to Hötorget you might think that I wouldn’t have any problems at all finding it, due to my earlier visit. You are totally wrong. As I was just sauntering around I didn’t really ake any notice about how I walked and where things were located. But we finally made it to the place after going in the wrong direction until we reached the end of the road and then going back…

After about two hours occupying of a table at Kungshallen we took the metro, a bus and our self transportation systems (aka legs and feet) to Bosön -Swedish National Sports Complex- (Yeah, you just read it, I’ve actually been to that place, like the famous sportsman I am…) where we met up with the other KRIK people. There were some known faces and some unknown, but noone seemed dangerous (which I later discovered was … true)

After a short info about KRIK and the weekend it was time for a little evening tea and a late night spontaneous floorball which unfortunately had to be canceled when the sports centre was closed. Saturday began with a nice and heavy breakfast before we went to Helsingfors (Helsinki), the conference room, for information by Kjetil about KRIK Norway and what they do, information from the KRIK groups in Sweden, what they /we do and how they /we do it. After lunch, it was time for the annual meeting of KRIK Kristen Idrottskontakt, a meeting that went well with not that much bloodshed…

Before dinner we spent about three hours in the sports centre for inspiration and ideas of how a KRIK gatherin can be carried out, not to mention the soccer and floorball we played. I could certainly feel it inmost of my ”many” muscles the next day :P

After dinner we had service with communion in the conference room, a very peaceful and graceful ending of the evening. The evening didn’t stop there though, we had some evening tea, managed to see the last minutes of Melodifestivalen, and socialized with each other.

Sunday to was a long day with a lot of things going on, after breakfast and more KRIK stuff we had a little service in Helsingfors. Then there was lunch and time to leave :( A couple of kilometers walking, a busride and the metro we were back in Stockholms Central, which is located in central Stockholm :O. After saying goodbye to my new and old friends I hurried away to Stureplan where I was supposed to meet up with Sonia, who I hadn’t met for about four! years. As you might have noticed is Stockholm not my town but when I asked for direction it turned out that i wasn’t completely of and a couple of minutes later Sonia found me under the ”mushroom”. After walking around for a while we decided to go to Nationalmuseum, and so we did. Unfortunately they were about to close, as was most other museums… Well, such things happens and I’m not much f a crier. When all museums was closed we went to a caf’e, the Bellman, close to Hötorget (there it is again this place I think I would find now) where we spent several hours talking about everything and nothing and all the things in the middle =) And I did even get, well I had to pay for it, my ciabatta at last . Since I had ordered a sandwich I just didn’t take notice when they called out that they had a ciabatta ready, as the country boy I am I didn’t knew the resemblance between these two different things :P It was a good sandwich/ciabatta though.

Then there was time to go back to the train station, would have been annoying to miss the train, where we took farewell until next time. I now had about fifteen hours of ”training” to look forward to. Luckily I could sleep most of it away and by twelwe o’clock I was home, safe and tired, in Luleå again =)

That is all for now, there is a day tomorrow (later on today) that I wouldn’t want to miss but I do have a lot more to write about.

Until then,

Mae råkes
